The cat's day! Dan too :)

In addition to my bad day Dan also had a not so pleasant start to his. What should have only taken a 15 minute drive to the Vet, took Dan an hour and a half due to the humongous accident today. I heard traffic was backed up on 526 from the North Rhett exit all the way to Goose Creek. Poor Dan and poor kitty. Kitty does not handle car rides well.

Good news is that Kitty is healthy and up to date on all shots. Dan also got some information about de-clawing and getting Capt. Jack a little brother or sister. Turns out now would be a perfect time for both. We'll see.

The Vet and the rest of the office was very taken with our kitty. Instead of taking the carrier Dan took the cat on his leash which turned out to be much better than the carrier. The office has never seen a cat on a leash before and ate it up. When a big dog came in, the cat fluffed up and ran into the door :/ but other than that he was fine. The Vet mentioned that he's never seen a better behaved cat and of course I puffed with pride upon hearing this. Dan and I make good kitty parents! Yay!

On the ride home the cat peed on Dan :/ Luckily the cat knew enough to pee on Dan's jeans instead of the carpet or car seat. Also luckily Dan was at a stop light so he was able to whip off his sweatshirt and used that to soak up any residual pee. Since Dan is a good kitty parent, he didn't punish the cat. This is the first time the kitty ever had an accident so we actually felt bad for the kitty. Haha. He's our little furry baby.

As much as I would like to have another cat I don't know if I can do it. I love this cat so much that I don't want to change it. What if he doesn't like his new brother or sister? Or what if I love our kitty less? Hahah. I sound like we're having real kids or something.
