psycho poetics

I am in love with "Panic! at the disco". For those of you out of the loop, they are a band.

They haven't released an album for a few years and I've been anxiously waiting. In the meantime, Dan and I have tickets to see them at the end of April! I am pumped! Our good friends Tim and Jenn are coming too. It's going to be fun times.

Someone leached their new album online and of course we downloaded it as soon as possible and plan on buying ten million copies when it goes on sale too. The album is a different style than their first one which initially I was bummed about because I really liked the cabaret style BUT this new album is equally as impressive in terms of lyrics.

Panic!, really puts the lyrical back into lyrics. It's nice to hear poetic music again.

On the other hand, I am just a fan of straight no bullshit lyrics like "Puddle of Mudd"'s Psycho:
Maybe I'm the one
Maybe I'm the one who is the schizophrenic psycho (yeah)
Maybe I'm the one
Maybe I'm the one who is the paranoid Flake-oh

There isn't much depth to that song but it is perfect just the way it is. Sometimes we, as in the people of the world, need to self reflect. Maybe the other person isn't crazy, maybe it's just you.

So this post is dedicated to all the psycho's out there that realize they are the crazy ones and not the other way around. If you aren't a psycho, take a second to reflect anyhow :D
