After dodging the stomach flu for weeks it took me by surprise last night. All day I felt sick to my stomach and I was convinced it was the OJ I had from McDonalds. It wasn't until I could barely lie still in bed from my achey body that I realized it was the flu. Dan had to work but before leaving, he rubbed my back to make me feel better but I brushed him away because I couldn't handle physical contact and then I jumped up and retched. Poor guy. I hope he doesn't have a complex that he makes me puke. Hahah.
Luckily I have no school today or tomorrow so I can relax and feel better. I'm supposed to go to a book club meeting tonight to discuss "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I know I shouldn't go, in case I am contagious but I really loved this book and want to discuss it with other people who have read it.
This Thursday we will be getting a new roof for our house. We are super excited! We are seriously square to get excited about a new roof but oh well.
I finally got my car back yesterday. It is running perfectly now. It turned out that the mechanic put on the timing belt 180 degrees wrong. So essentially, he put it on backwards. That sucks for him since he didn't get paid for the extra work he put on himself. Dan is happy to have his car back and so am I although I did love driving his little car around. It sits up higher than mine and is quite zippy for a 4 cylinder. But my car is completely paid off so there is no way I am trading my car in for another payment every month. No thank you.
I took two tests on Friday and I am anxiously awaiting my grades. I studied my butt off and I want to know how I did. I keep going online to check every hour or so. Haha. There is something else school related I am nervous about but I don't want to jinx myself so I'll write about it later.
So other than my bug, life has been good. The weather is gorgeous here. Dan and I are getting along good. The cat still thinks he's a princess. Life is good and I like that.
