Everyone should know who Eddie is

Anyone ever have a bad teacher? Like a teacher who makes you read every single word of the text and lectures off the text but then the tests are nothing about the text? Or how about the teacher that tells you an assignment is due and refuses to explain how to do it?

Luckily, I have been blessed with mostly good teachers. A few rotten ones slipped in but I forgive them.

At Trident Tech, my teachers have actually been pretty decent.

My math teacher is super math nerdy. He thoroughly teaches the math and explains it even if he does try to crack a few math jokes every now and then.

My tech teacher needs a haircut but he does tie it back for class. I really enjoy his lectures. We are supposed to come to class having already read the text and then he condenses that text into a lecture and then explains certain concepts more in depth. He acts like a real college professor and I appreciate that a lot.

My theater teacher is goofy as all get out. The other day in class he carried chairs on his back to explain a point. He is a bit slow to get to his points but he throughly explains the concepts and eventually ties it into what we are learning. I actually get a lot of history from his lectures. He dresses like a college student so that is a bit strange but his discussions in class are usually fun and interactive.

This leaves me with my english teacher. At the beginning of the term, this class was my favorite but he ended up being somewhat of a flake; not returning emails, skipping class ect.. But he got his act together and the class is getting better. He encourages class discussion and tries to help us become better writers. He will sit there and sit it out until someone answers his question though. So I feel the need to express my opinion constantly just to get over the silence.

But today he redeemed himself. We were discussing various methods for constructing an argumentative essay and he quoted Eddie Izzard! How kick ass!! We were talking about smoking in bars and ect.. so the Eddie (a british stand up comedian) is talking about how smoking is banned in California and he says "Soon there will be no drinking, eating or talking in bars". I about died that my teacher knew who Eddie Izzard was.
