The other day Dan comes home from work and tells me Ian and some other people are going out for Sushi and I should go. Dan hates seafood of any nature so he opted instead to stay home and encouraged me to go since I never get a chance to eat my favorite foods. I refused at first out of guilt that I would be enjoying a nice meal and he'd be getting nothing. He won though and I left for Sushi.
Tim and Jenn bugged out so it was just me, Lauren and Ian. We each tried some new items and had a good time. On the way home I called Dan to ask him what I could pick up for him. I thought about getting him a nice bloody burger somewhere but I couldn't remember which restuarants grind their own meat. Plus he didn't answer. He was probably too busy with video games.
Half way home I realized the perfect thing was a sub from our favorite sub shop, Larry's Giant Subs. I call in an order and make my way over there. It is nearly ready by the time I pay. As I wait for it, flashing headlights turn my head to the parking lot.
It was Dan! We were both busted. I grabbed his sub to meet Dan outside and we collapse into a fit of giggles and hugs.
*He didn't answer his phone because he left it at home while he ran to Sear's to get me a garage door opener for my car. On the way back home he decided a sub is what he wanted only to be met by me holding a sub for him already.
