The stir fry turned out awesome! Next time I will make a few changes like adding the squash before the mushrooms. I don't know what I was thinking tossing the mushrooms in so early. They didn't turn out too mushy so it was okay.
Dan finished his plate and said he liked it. He also tells me I don't have a fat ass. Which is fine, he can lie to me about that forever! So to find out his true feelings on meals, I ask him if he would want me to cook it again and he replied YES so it was a genuine success.
I have made interesting dinners before that he has said NO to. I can't recall anything specific though. I do remember a quiche I made once with a jar of artichokes. It was.. different. I think we may have to try artichokes in a different manner next time.
My steamed rice turned out well too and I actually felt asian using my rice cooker. It's been ages since I last made rice. The rice cooker is a small version of my mom's. She bought it for me when I graduated high school I think. I wish I lived closer to her so she can cook all sorts of Korean food for me :P
I will attempt some Korean food soon. It's a part of my heritage and it tastes so damn good too! Ask Courtney! She's been biting at the chomp to return to the Korean Restaurant.
