Well it wasn't too secret. My neighbor Janel knew because she had to feed the cat. Mark and his family knew because he was who we were visiting. I just didn't tell the whole world because this trip to Melbourne was about relaxation.
Jason was originally supposed to go off to boot camp before our trip to Melbourne and that made me sad to not see him before he left but luckily for me, it changed and I did get to see him.
We stayed at our buddy Mark's house and played Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Well I actually just watched while they played. I also hung out with my mom for a bit too and helped her fix Korean XP. That was fun. Haha. I was also able to look up lyrics for her favorite song so she loved that.
Then on Saturday I rounded up my two brothers and drove them almost 4 hours to Fort Meyers, Florida to surprise our Grandmother. She was having a birthday party at the same restaurant as Grandpa did 3 years ago but this time she knew about the birthday party, she just didn't know we were coming. I think she thought I was visiting my in-laws so I played along and told her that if I wasn't a million miles away that I would be there for her party. Heh heh. She was surprised and loved it.
I hardly see my family so it was really nice to see them. Being with Jason and Jeremiah in the car ride was a blast. I forgot how retarded funny these two can get. I heard "butterface" for the first time in like ten years!! Jeremiah was shocked to find out that I am no longer the 15 year self I used to be. I no longer listen to trendy music and I have long forsaken not cursing. Jeremiah kept telling me stories on how I tattled on him for cursing and how I couldn't repeat the actual curse word. I think I finally got cool in his book.
Even the two punked out on me and slept the first half of the ride back, the second half was a blast. The three of us reminisced of older days, of good and the bad times. We were able to fill each other in on what's been happening since the last time we were separated and our version of what life was like when we all were together. It was some nice bonding time. We were really understood each other.
Life is funny. Because of our home life the three of us went our separate ways and now the three of us are back in each others lives. It's like Longwood Blvd was just a blip in our life and now we are moving on and living our life like we were supposed to.
I'm sad that Jason is joining the service but I'm happy that he is doing something positive for his life and I wish him the best and I hope to get to see him and hear about his adventures! I'm also glad Jeremiah and I could be with him one last time before he is no longer a civilian! Cheers Jason!
