Melbourne Complacency

While I like visiting Melbourne, I find that I can't wait to be "home". Melbourne is no longer home to me. Melbourne is no longer my city.

If Orlando is the party city, then Melbourne is surfer dude personified. The general mood is laid back and easy. But within that comfort comes risk. Since life is good, there is no need to change, no need to get to the next level.

If I still lived in Melbourne I probably would still be the same person I was three years ago. I'd be working the same job that I absolutely hated and would be doing nothing to further myself.

I don't mind visiting Melbourne especially when I see some great friends but I think I passed Melbourne by and it'll never be home to me again.

*This of course does not apply to anyone in Melbourne. This is just a feeling I got while driving around.*
