Bad News first

On the way home from work and school I got into a car accident. No one was physically hurt so that's good. My car got the most damage, a dented up fender and door and some paint scuffs. Her car has a small dent and a small paint scuff.

So I was in the right lane of a three lane road and I needed to get to the middle lane. I turned on my turn signal, looked in the mirror, looked over my shoulder and turned. But I ended up hitting her car. She was probably going into the middle lane from the left lane and doesn't want to admit it because then she'd "contribute to the collision" as my paperwork states. I got a traffic ticket for "improper lane change" for $232 along with 4 points on my license. My court date is in two weeks.

I was a mess last night. Dan came to me for moral support and because we had dinner plans right there with friends later. I almost made him cry because I was bawling so hard. Then we went to the restaurant and Tim gave me a hug but I was starting to make him cry so I had to pull away before I made him cry too. Hahah. But dinner was really nice and I laughed a lot so I'm really grateful for that.
